SHUDH AND KOMAL NOTES IN HINDUSTANI SANGEET

Hi...Hope you are learning many new skills and enjoying this site.Today we are going to understand the Shudh, Komal and Tivra Notes in Hindustani Classical Sangeet.
Svara means a note in the octave. The seven basic swaras of the scale are named  

SADAJ          
RISHABH    
GANDHAR  
MADHYAM 
PANCHAM  
DHAIVATA
NISHAD      
The Short form of these swaras are SA RE GA MA PA DHA NI

Collectively these notes are known as the sargam and the set of these seven notes is known as one saptak
 ( octave) and accordingly the First,Second and Third saptak ( Octave) of Harmonium is called Mandra Saptak, Madhyam Saptak and Taar Saptak respectively.

Shudh, Komal and Teevra swaras are as follows.

Shudh Swaras  :  SA RE GA MA PA DHA NI
Komal Swaras  :  re ga dha ni
Teevra Swara   :   M'a
