Maru Bihag is not very old Raga but It is a Popular Raga.This Raga has both Tivra and Shudh Madhyam and rest notes are Shudh.Tivra Ma is used in Aroh and Avroh both without any limit but the use of Shudh Ma is very limited i e; SA MA MA GA and after that GA MA(T) PA MA(T) PA this Swar line comes and Tivra Ma shows Its influence.There are different statement about this Raga from different expert. Some believe it to be from Thaat Bilaval ( According to Devghar school of Music Late. B.R.Devghar)
